Maggie Street is a bohemian, artsy, hipster, punk magazine featuring dark comedy, satire, short stories, random thoughts and occasionally gets to the right level of intoxication in order to sound smart.
Please understand that the racism, sexism, homophobia, violence and insanity that is present here at Maggie Street is all an illusion. Satire and dark comedy requires a certain level (high level) of inappropriateness in order to function; to effectively hold a mirror up to society. It’s not meant to be taken seriously.
We are an indie, underground publication and we intend to stay that way. We’re not Disney, we’re not Netflix, so there’s no need to send us hate mail or start change.org petitions to shut us down.
